Chef Lagier will be welcoming guests with passed hors d’oeuvres, followed by an exquisite five course dinner with unique wine pairings for each course from the portfolio of Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. The following menu is what Chef shared with us for the wine dinner: <strong>Amuse Bouche</strong> – Beetroot panna cotta and iced yogurt-goat cheese tart, Savory parmesan-rosemary cookies with mojito sphere, <strong>1<sup>st</sup> Course</strong> - Baby vegetable garden pot salad, truffle vinaigrette, aged balsamic glaze, <strong>2<sup>nd</sup> Course</strong> – Quail baklava, baby spinach, rhubarb marmalade, braised quail legs, <strong>3<sup>rd</sup> Course</strong> – Lardo glazed filet of turbot, parsnip puree, sultana raisin sauce, herbs and edible flowers, <strong>4<sup>th</sup> Course </strong>– Roasted lamb loin, compressed Marie piper potatoes, mint pea puree, goat cheese croquette, beetroot demi-glace, <strong>Dessert Course </strong>– Caramelized pineapple with toasted cardamom, pink peppercorn, tropical sorbet, and crushed pistachio. Oh well, nobody is going to "toot our own horn" so I am going to do it for us.<br />
Since our last post from May 2016, we have been busy, busy, busy!<br />

We have picked-up a few more awards along the way, including the "Chef's Choice" award at the Bite of Burnsville on March 2nd, 2017 as well as the "People's Choice" award at the Bite of Burnsville on March 1st, 2018. The Sun-Thisweek paper awarded us with the "Best Sunday Brunch" and "Best Bloody Mary Bar" in December, 2017. And in November, 2018 Morgans was awarded the "Restaurant Sustainability Award" from the Minnesota Restaurant Association at its annual awards ceremony (see next blog for more details on that).<br />

Additionally, our Premier Sunday Brunch Buffet has taken-off like a rocket!<br />
Every week we are seeing more and more followers to the best Sunday brunch buffet south of the river... It's no wonder with the unmatched selection and made-from-scratch-EVERYTHING - including DESSERTS. You really should try it if you haven't already. Please note - reservations are extremely appreciated and often required as brunch can be quite busy.<br />

Morgan’s Farm to Table does business in a way that preserves local family farms, utilizes minimal resources and is knowledgeable about the sourcing of all ingredients. The staff enthusiastically recycles, purchases products that contain minimal packaging and uses as few natural resources as possible, such as utilities. With an estimated 1000 guests in attendance, nearly 900 samples were served! </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I was happy to help educate so many people about the new and improved Morgan’s Farm to Table experience.</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The grass fed filet mignon, creamy onion risotto and smoked tomato demi-glace worked its magic and helped make some new friends. </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Winning the first place title for Best Food Item was icing on the cake. </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">It continues to reinforce the sustainability efforts that we are employing at Morgan’s. The weather was being uncooperative, and we had A LOT of setup to do. However, upon arrival there was electricity in the air (and not from the weather). I started to get excited! It's hard not to though, when you're serving All Natural Grassfed Tenderloin!! Our Chefs were delicately slicing the Strauss Farms (Franklin, WI) Filet and serving it over a Creamy Onion Risotto that they were making ON THE FLY right there in our tent! The Cream and butter for the Risotto were from Hope Creamery in Hope, MN! Lastly, we topped it with a Smoked Tomato Demi-Glace made with Steve's Hydroponic Tomatoes out of Wells, MN! 3 of the 6 Local farmers we work with, were represented in this offering. Word quickly got around, and before we knew it there was a line of people braving the weather to sample our wares. At the end of it all, we met a bunch of great people, sampled some great food, and received the Judge's choice award for Best Food Item! The continual stream of Lakeville and surrounding community residents gave us a great opportunity to shake hands, share laughter and sample them on one of our most delectable offerings. Grass-Fed Filet Mignon, served over a warm bed of creamy, onion Risotto, and finished with a smoked-tomato demi-glace evoked more, “M-m-m-m-mmmm’s,” than I can count. If that wasn’t enough complimentary reaction, the evening was perfectly punctuated by the announcement that Morgan’s farm to table was awarded the “Judge’s Favorite.” </span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I’d like to thank all the Morgan’s employees who helped to make the “Taste” a truly successful experience, and a heartfelt thank you to our regular clientele who stopped by to say, “Hi.”, and, finally, a warm welcome to all the great people I met who I look forward to inviting into our Morgan’s Farm to Table “home.” </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">What is the Bite of Burnsville? – The Bite of Burnsville is the largest annual fundraising event for the Burnsville Chamber each year. It is a food-tasting event that brings together about 20 of the area’s best rest restaurants. It is open to the public and also includes raffles, a large silent auction, a live auction, and live entertainment. <br /><br />Who attends the Bite? Anyone is welcome! It’s a mix of Burnsville chamber members, Burnsville community leaders, and the general public.<br /><br />How are the awards decided? The awards are decided differently per award. The “Chef’s Choice” award is judged by the previous year’s winner. This year, the chefs from Chianti Grill (the 2014 winner) judged each restaurant on their presentation and taste. The “People’s Choice” award is judged by all of the people attending (this year we had around 500 attendees). Each attendee is given one ballot to place in the box of the restaurant for which they feel is their favorite. Generally people decide based on taste.</span></div>

years of experience including running Pazzaluna for 8 of those, of Goodman
